On completion of the one day course, the operators will know: Their statutory duties under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974. The importance of sling angle in relation to safe working load. The importance of weight and centre of gravity in relation to the safe working load of the lifting tackle. Signalling codes for slingers
Ladder Inspection
The Course is specifically designed for any person who is involved with working with Ladders and Step Ladders.

Fire Extinguisher
To train members of staff in the recognition and use of portable fire extinguishers located at your site, in order that they might reduce the possibility of fire and extinguish a small fire should one occur.

Legionella Awareness
This training course is ideal for candidates who require an introduction to Legionnaires' disease and matters concerning the control of legionella bacteria in hot and cold water services and other risk systems (excluding cooling systems - refer to LCA 9001) in accordance the HSE's ACOP L8.

Abrasive Wheels
To provide delegates with adequate training for purposes of Health and Safety when using Abrasive Wheels. To include training in the methods which may be adopted when using Abrasive Wheels and any risks which such use may entail and the precautions to be taken.

PPE Inspection
The course will provide competency in identifying faults & damage to general items of fall protection equipment, maintenance and storage of such equipment, record keeping and authorized repair.

Ammonia Awareness
Ammonia Awareness training is required for all employees whose work exposes them to the risk of exposure to Ammonia.

Paslode Training
The Course provides an insight into the risks associated and safe use of Paslode nail guns.

Manual Handling
The Course provides an insight into the risks associated with moving & handling and teaches safer lifting & carrying techniques.

Fire Incident Planning
To provide the Emergency Coordinators with a systematic way to bring an unplanned event to as safe a conclusion as practically possible.

Racking Inspection
Pallet racking is classed as “work equipment” and is therefore subject to regular inspection under current Health and Safety Legislation..

Fire Marshall
This course concentrates on ensuring that employees have the necessary information required to enable them to raise the alarm, evacuate the building, know the different types of extinguisher, check and area and communicate with those in charge.The course will give delegates the ability to identify fire hazards, take charge in the event of a fire and understand the need for fire precautions.
